Dr. Raden Mohammad Marty Muliana Natalegawa, B.SC, M.PHIL, the
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia
to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the Republic of Ireland has
officially assumed his office here in London.
His Excellency and Madame
Sranya Natalegawa will reside at the Embassy’s official residence in
North West London with their three children. After an internal briefing
with Embassy staff, Ambassador Natalegawa proceeded to meet with the Vice
Marshall of the Diplomatic Corps, Mr. Charles de Chassiron CVO. Mr.
Chassiron is also the Head of Protocol at the Foreign and Commonwealth
Office (FCO). The meeting took place at his FCO office. It was an
introductory meeting for Ambassador Natalegawa. The Ambassador also
presented a copy of his letter of credence to the Vice Marshall who
consecutively accepted him to assume his office here in Great Britain.
Ambassador Natalagewa is scheduled to present the original letter of
credence to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II early next year. During the
meeting, the Ambassador and Mr. de Chassiron both reiterated their wish to
further strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations. It was
also expected that the year 2006 will bring prosperity and closer unity
